Popular Dried Flower Questions

How to dry out flowers?

Take the flowers you wish to dry removing any heavy foliage (flowers weaken when dried so it’s important to keep them as light as possible). Tie the stems together at the ends and hang them upside down in a dark place, a cupboard or basement is ideal.

How long do dried flowers last?

As long as they are cared for properly, they can last anywhere from one to three years. If you wish to put them on display, either on a windowsill or as a table centrepiece, bear in mind your dried flowers will not last as long as they will exposed to light and air.

Dried Flower Arrangements

Looking to add some warmth to a room without worrying about aftercare? Dried flowers are the perfect solution as they have no need for light or water. Whatsmore, most dried stems are biodegradable meaning they're better for the environment than your typical bouquet. The majority of stems can be dried and added to a bouquet, however, the most popular dried flower choices include naturally dry stems such as lavender, for its fragrant scent, striking poppy seeds and bunny tails. Most dried bouquets are also accompanied by flowering plants that offer a feathery texture to a bouquet such as pampas grass, piumetta and eucalyptus.
