Flower of North Park

Trichostema lanceolatum, also known as Vinegarweed, is a member of the mint family that’s native to California.

The herb’s name comes from a strong odour produced by oils in its foliage, which are particularly strong in warm weather. The flowers are pale blue and bloom in long clusters every August to October.
